NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT IS HOSTING: Concealed Carry & Defense The purpose of this course is to provide Law Enforcement Officers with skills to increase their chance of survival during lethal force encounters, while operating in plain clothes, on, or off duty. The course is approximately 8 hours. Topics Covered: Weapons safety and manipulation Drawing from concealed Holstering to concealed Lethal force engagement techniques Plain clothes vehicular engagement Hostage & scenario based point shooting Tactical considerations Shooting on the move Critical Anatomy Speed/Efficiency And more advanced skills Who Should Attend? Detectives Plain Clothes Officers Narcotics ANY OFFICER WHO CARRIES OFF DUTY Equipment List: Firearm-Shooters choice of their off duty or on duty weapon that is to be concealed. At least 2 magazines preferably 3 Concealed style magazine holster or appropriate place to hold spare magazines Rigid style IWB holster, or OWB holster (non-collapsible e.g. kydex, polymer, hard plastics) NO SERPA HOLSTERS Minimum 350 rounds of ammunition 450 maximum Law Enforcement Identification (Badge, issued ID or other) Eye Protection Ear Protection Baseball style hat Plain Clothes (this can be either what you wear off duty, or what you wear on duty as a detective, narcotics officer, or other plain clothes assignment) If the course is taking place outdoors please dress appropriately. Do your best to mimic what you would wear and how you would carry. There will be a lunch break during the class, officers may bring lunch or purchase locally.
There is a 50 percent refund if the client cancels their slot 30 days prior to the course. Any cancellations within 30 days of the course are non-refundable. A party may opt to send an individual in their place as long as one weeks notice is given and the new party meets all prerequisites for the course.
